Leece & Phillips Law Offices,
S.C., is a full service law firm formulated March 3, 1994. The firm has 2
shareholders, Randall G. Leece and Ward D. Phillips. The firm, located at 6 West Street, Elkhorn,
Wisconsin 53121, maintains office hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to
5:00 P.M. and at other times by special appointment.
Both partners have been in practice in the Elkhorn area for over 15 years, with
Randall G. Leece beginning practice in Elkhorn as an associate and ultimately a
partner in the Sweet & Leece law firm and Ward D. Phillips beginning
practice as an associate at Sweet & Leece, S.C. and ultimately becoming a
partner in Sweet, Leece & Phillips, S.C., before the formulation of the
current firm.
The firm maintains a strong representation in the business community as well as
general family practice in the areas of general litigation, corporate,
administrative, family and criminal practice. In addition, the firm's partners
are actively involved in several non-profit organizations supporting the local
community and area. These include the Aurora Health Board of Directors, Friends
of the Matheson Memorial Library, the Walworth County Family Resource Center,
the Elkhorn Area Penguins Youth Swim Team and others.
The firm also concentrates its practice in municipal law with shareholder, Ward
D. Phillips, acting as the City of Elkhorn's attorney since 1999 and Randall G.
Leece representing the Village of Sharon since 1988.
The firm feels strongly in the importance of giving back to the community and
to that the profession should give back to the general public by providing pro
bono services. Therefore, the firm maintains an active pro bono caseload at all
times by both shareholders and associates.
In addition, shareholder, Ward D. Phillips, has served on the Legal Services of
Wisconsin Board of Directors in the past from 1992 to 1996 (4 years).
The firm also provides pro bono seminars and services to various organizations
in practice areas of expertise and sponsors teams for the Elkhorn Youth Soccer
League, the Elkhorn Youth T-Ball League and many other community related
organizations. The firm recently donated $10,000.00 to the Matheson Memorial
Library addition project to support the library's expansion for the entire
county.
The firm's facilities at 6 West Street in Elkhorn have been recently remodeled
and expanded to include a new larger conference room for both firm business and
community organizations. The firm maintains a range of resources for its
clients, including computerized and Internet base legal research, as well as
traditional book related research.
The firm prides itself on its ability to serve its clients both promptly and
effectively. While no firm can guarantee the outcome of any legal matter, the
firm shareholders and associates are of the opinion that serving the client's
needs requires that clients inquiries be responded to promptly and
compassionately and that lawyer and client agree on the facts and the law for
submitting the matter for decision by a third party. It is with this in mind
that the firm intends to continue to maintain the highest standard of
professionalism, ethics, and service to its clients now and in the future.
