Attorney Murphy has practiced law in Elkhorn Wisconsin for fifteen (15) years, focusing his practice on family law (divorce, paternity, custody, placement, child support, post divorce and post paternity), personal injury, criminal defense and bankruptcy.

Attorney Murphy grew up in Burlington Wisconsin and knew that he wanted to root his family close to home. Attorney Murphy is a proud resident of Elkhorn and has resided in Elkhorn with his wife and children (“the Murphy family”) since graduating from law school in 2001. Attorney Murphy was a member of the Elkhorn Jaycees from 2002 through 2006, serving as its President in 2004 and 2005.

The Murphy family is actively involved in the Elkhorn Kwik Stx Lacrosse Club, which is currently in its first full season of existence. The Murphy family is also actively involved in the Irish American community as members of the Cashel Dennehy School of Irish Dance, its Booster Club and Irish Fest School of Music. Additionally, the Murphy family is involved with the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Attorney Murphy is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Walworth County Bar Association. Attorney Murphy is licensed to practice law before all courts of the State of Wisconsin and regularly represents clients in Walworth County, Rock County, Racine County, Kenosha County, Waukesha County and Jefferson County. Attorney Murphy is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court in both the Eastern District and Western District of Wisconsin. He regularly appears in the bankruptcy court in both the Eastern District and Western District of Wisconsin.

Attorney Murphy received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 1996, graduating cum laude. Attorney Murphy received his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2001, graduating cum laude.
