Providing Both Representation and Vital Education on the Divorce Process

Our firm's co-founder devotes his Walworth County-based legal practice almost exclusively to family law. He takes the time to talk to his clients so they understand the substance of the divorce process and the need for legal representation.

First, there is a "cooling off" period of 120 days, giving you time to get the facts you need and prepare for a process that, at times, will be emotional. Court procedures can be confusing and there are pitfalls that must be avoided.

Expect to attend at least two hearings at a minimum, providing documentation and financial information that the court expects. Securing legal advice prior to those court appearances is paramount. You have important choices to make and you do not want to have regrets later.
